2022 Ford Escape: Fuel-Saving Versatility
The 2022 Ford Escape provide drivers with a choice of three different engines: the standard 1.5 EcoBoost®, the available 2.0L EcoBoost®, and the 2.5L I–4 Atkinson. Highlights include the 2.0L engine’s 3,500-pound towing capacity when equipped with the available Class II Trailer Tow Package.
This engine, along with the standard 1.5 engine, both features Auto Start-Stop Technology. This technology allows your Escape to save fuel any time it comes to a stop. When you’re stopped at a red light, a stop sign, or in bumper-to-bumper in city traffic, your model is actively lowering your fuel consumption.
However, if you want ultimate fuel efficiency, check out the hybrid 2.5 I-4 engine. This engine supports long-distance travel by relying on traditional gas and a 96 kW electric motor. Thanks to this, commuters can anticipate an EPA-estimated 44 city/37 highway MPG.
In hazardous road conditions, use the Selectable Driving Modes found in each model. Choose between Eco, Sport, Normal, Slippery and Deep Snow/Sand modes and your model will automatically adjust its traction and handling.
2022 Ford Escape: Available Packages and Dimensions
Though the 2022 Ford Escape is considering a small SUV, you’d be surprised how you can add to this model. In order to provide drivers with everything they could want, check out these optional packages:
SEL Stealth AWD Package
(available only with 2.0L EcoBoost®)
SE Sport Appearance Package
Both packages do their best to combine style with the model’s signature performance. The SEL Stealth AWD package adds small interior details, like branded floor mats and super soft Miko® inserts.
The Escape not only has the style but the dimensions to match. Here are the measurements you have to look forward to:
- Headroom (front/rear): 40 inches/39.3 inches
- Legroom (front/rear): 42.4 inches/40.7 inches
- Seating capacity: 5
Despite its classification as a small SUV, the Escape keeps up with other larger SUVs by providing at least 40 inches of legroom for everyone in the cabin. Plus, its smaller stature is perfect when travelling through narrow streets, making it a practical choice for city dwellers. Its size also comes in handy when fitting into tight parking spots and garages.
2022 Escape: Forward-Thinking Technologies
There’s plenty of available technologies to discover when building your 2022 Ford Escape. See for yourself:
- 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster: You can get insights into your vehicle status and settings on this gorgeous digital display.
- Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control: This system can smooth out your ride by maintaining your vehicle at a set speed. It also comes with Speed Sign Recognition to go along with Stop-and-Go and Lane Centering Assist.
- B&O® Sound System by Bang & Olufsen®: Enjoy crisp, clear audio throughout the cabin, with this premium audio system.
- Wireless Charging Pad: Never experience a low-battery smartphone again, with this integrated wireless charger.
As for safety, Ford Co-Pilot360™ is an advanced safety suite that adds standard driver-assistive technologies to make you a more aware driver.
