2022 Ford F-250 Super Duty Engine Specs

2022 Ford F-250: Power & Performance

The standard engine in the F-250 is the powerful 6.2L SOHC 2-valve Flex Fuel V8, which has been engineered to deliver peak torque at a lower RPM while being able to generate high torque throughout the midrange of the power band. This model is also paired with the Ford TorqShift® G 6-speed automatic transmission. Its power outputs are 385 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque.

A few highlights of its performance features include:

  • AdvanceTrac™ with RSC® (Roll Stability Control™) and Trailer Sway Control
  • Shock absorbers: heavy-duty gas
  • 3-inch Built Ford Tough® Trailer Hitch Receiver
  • Alternator: 157-amp 6.2L

These features will enhance your ride by providing peace of mind, especially when you’ve got materials to haul/tow from one site to another. You can rest easy, knowing that the F-250 has got your back. While you should still remain vigilant about your trailer, you can let yourself take a moment to enjoy the road.

2022 Ford F-250: Towing Capacity

The maximum towing capacity of the Ford F-250 varies depending on which configuration you choose. We’ll start with the maximum capacity you’ll get with the base model. Keep in mind that all the following numbers have been tested with F-250 models that have been properly equipped.  Whether you choose the Regular Cab, the Super Cab SB, or the Super Cab LB, they all share a 15,000-pound max towing capacity.

In F-250 models with a 5th-wheel/gooseneck, it can dramatically increase the capacity in some cases. For example, the Regular Cab 4×2 model can reach a max of 15,800 pounds, while the Super Cab SB 4×2 reaches 15,500 pounds, and the Super Cab LB 4×2 hits 15,400 pounds.

2022 Ford F-250: Infotainment

It can be extremely important to stay connected when out on the road for work or even to keep abreast of current events. The infotainment deck on the Ford F-250 helps you do just that. While it comes standard with an AM/FM stereo with four speakers in the Regular Cab and six speakers in the Super Cab and Crew Cab, the real excitement is in the SYNC®.

SYNC® will allow you to use your voice to make a call, listen to your favorite music, select apps, and more. All this technology can help you stay focused on the road. In addition:

  • Bluetooth® audio lets you wirelessly control your entertainment with voice commands
  • You can have incoming text messages read aloud
  • 911 Assist® can call for help in an emergency, even if you can’t
