RTR Founder – Vaughn Gittin Jr

Vaughn Gittin Jr, known as JR, began his racing career in 2006 by building his first Ford Mustang competition car. That year marked the start of a journey through Formula Drift, Ultra4 Racing, and NASCAR—culminating in Formula Drift Championship titles in 2010 and 2020. It also sparked the vision that would later evolve into RTR Vehicles. Vaughn discovered a vibrant car culture thriving within the Mustang community—and he was right at its heart. He noticed that fellow enthusiasts craved more personalized styling options, yet the market offered little that aligned with his bold vision for what the Mustang could become. That realization sparked the birth of RTR.

Being "Ready to Rock" is something that Vaughn has said since he was a teenager. It’s a mindset—a way of life—to be ready for anything. That same spirit is embedded in every RTR vehicle, designed to drift, drag, cruise, conquer off-road terrain, or dominate the track—all while showcasing RTR’s signature modern and aggressive styling.

The first Mustang RTR debuted in 2009 and quickly gained momentum. Shortly after, RTR formed an official partnership with Ford Motor Company, elevating the brand from a traditional aftermarket outfit to a global presence—offering factory-approved customizations through Ford dealerships worldwide.
